Festival hotel

Right in the heart of the city centre we find Rica Ishavshotel, lying there like a pearl on the wharfside. With 11 meeting rooms and the splendid conference and banquet hall, Rica Panorama, we can accommodate meetings, conferences and congresses with up to 450 guests. The hotel restaurant serves both local and international courses, and one of the hotel bars, Skibsbroen Bar, has a unique view of the ship’s channel and the harbor area of Tromsø.

Tromsø is known as ‘the Paris of the North’ and ‘the Gateway to the Arctic Sea’. The city was the starting point for the Arctic Sea fishing fleet and famous polar expeditions. Insight into these fascinating stories is gained by a visit to Polaria, the Arctic Sea vessel ‘Polstjerna’ and the Polar Museum. In more recent times, polar research and the University of Tromsø are important factors in the development of the city. The student community of Tromsø has also contributed to a rich and varied selection of pubs, cafés and restaurants in the city.

Welcome to Tromsø and the Good Hosts at Rica Ishavshotel.
