The theater festival Tromsø Dialog 2011 is proud that HRH the Crown Princess has accepted the responsibility of being the festival patroness.
This is a recognition of the importance of amateur theater as both an initiator of dialog and an active party in society. The theme of the festival is dialog, which corresponds well with HRH the Crown Princess’ involvemet for greater tolerance and inclusion, says chairman of the board Svein J. Svensson in the Norwegian Theater Council.
The Norwegian Theater Council and HATS are in collaboration going to organize one of the oldest and most important festivals in the world, AITA/IATA’s International Theater Festival. The festival was first organized in 1957, and for the 2011 event, Tromsø has been chosen as the host. They come to play theater for eachother, for the inhabitiants of Tromsø, and everyone else who decide to spend their vacation in Tromsø this summer.
10 days, 50 shows, 18 countries, Master Classes, courses, youth projects and a symposium on poverty issues. This is some of what Tromsø Dialog can offer during this period 14th to the 24th of July 2011.
