Synopsis: France

Somewhere in the Alps we meet Grete, a simple and poor woman who keeps an impeccable home. Her obsessive cleaning of the house seems to be her way of protecting herself from the polluted world.  Her friend Fritzm, a somewhat deceiving nationalist, confirms this sense of security by guiding and reassuring her.

 

However, the outside world starts to inflict itself into the middle of this pure existence through the character of Yosip, who tries to change the status quo.

 

Accepting the unknown, others and differences are some of the recurring themes of this text. And even though the words might seem cruel, this joyous and hysterical comedy situates itself between social satire and cartoons. Also, one should not discard the elements of the occasional, or the constant and dangerous nature of nationalism.
