Somewhere in the ocean there exist four beings. They have been there for a very long time surviving in the afterlife with the other inhabitants of the sea. Everyday, every second they face the challenges of killing time; struggling with themselves; their dreams and memories; and longing for a change. One day a new member arrives. This causes quite a stir in the reduced community but brings with it the possibility of true love. The oldest creature among them keeps her calm. She’s been in the ocean for an eternity and uses the age-old Inuit tale of the Skeleton woman to bring the stubborn lovers together. This is a highly visual performance that uses music, masks and puppetry to create a world full of joy and sorrow, magic and everyday foolishness. A very human show about five spirits in the ocean.

The 2011 theme is DIALOGUE and our aim are to promote peace through the medium of theatre. The name of the festival is hence Tromsø DIALOG 2011.

We aim to initiate dialouges across borders and to keep the dialogue open: Together for theatre - together for peace!
